Solargy’s Online Project Management Service Instructions

Contents:
These instructions are comprised of the following two topics:

   (1) Helpful tips on how to efficiently manage your Solargy Online account using a simple
         file structure format.
   (2) Provide help on uploading your Projects to Solargy.

Helpful Tips - Solargy’s File Structure Format
This file structure format was designed to help you efficiently manage all your Solargy Projects while using Solargy’s free Online Project Management Service. It is
not required at this time to follow this Project file structure, but we highly recommend that you do. By using this recommended Project file structure, Solargy can efficiently work through your Project(s), thus avoiding any possible delays.

To manage your Solargy Projects efficiently, we have provided a file structure format for you to create
on your computer’s hard drive. Each project is organized in such a way that all its associated project files are kept in a separate project file folder. Each project file folder should contain all your drawings related to the specific project and a Project Contact Information.txt file that contains the Type of Project, Date, and Project Contact Information.

You can download both these instructions and the following
file structure template sample here:

Solargy_Project_Management_Service_Template.zip

To set it up, just unzip the downloaded file to create the files structure below on your computer’s hard drive.

The contents of the file structure template are as follows. The file structure format is currently setup with example files for illustration purposes.

We would recommend that you rename the Project folders to the actual names of your Projects. For example, if the name of a Project is called “Smith-Jones-Residence” then name this Project folder to “Smith-Jones-Residence”.

Help on uploading your Projects to Solargy

Preparing your Project files for Uploading to Solargy via the Online Project Management Service
When you want to prepare a project’s files to submit (upload) to Solargy utilizing the Online Project Management Service, all you need to do is zip up the Project folder containing all the drawings and the Project Contact Information file into a single compressed zip file for easy uploading to Solargy. This file zipping routine can simply be accomplished by selecting the Project folder and right clicking on it to bring up the context menu, then selecting the menu command: “Add to Project.zip”. The final single zip file containing all the Project’s files will be named “Project.zip”. If you need a program to zip (compress) the files, you can obtain WinZip® at
winzip.com. See the following example illustration for zipping up the entire file folder called “Project 1”.

Uploading your Project(s) to Solargy via the Online Project Management Service
At this point, all you have to do is
login to Solargy’s Online Project Management Service and upload the “Project.zip” file.

To upload the Project.zip file, press the “Browse” button and select the file for uploading. Next, add a caption to describe the project. Finally, press the “Upload” button to upload your files to Solargy. Note: for organization purposes, use a caption description that includes the Project’s name. See the following example illustration for uploading your files to Solargy.
